You can learn the basics of wet felting or make a felt soap, brooch, necklace, purse, slippers, bowl, nuno scarf, mesh scarf, cobweb scarf, pillow cover, book cover, cat's den, hat, beret or some other felt product. If you can't decide what to make on a certain date, a suggestion is also attached to each of the dates. The groups are small and despite the fact that everyone in the group may be making something different, we will take enough time so that you take away a lot of new knowledge and a beautiful and quality product. Workshop price: €35 – €120 (for most products around €85) depending on the chosen project Duration: 1 – 7 hours (depending on which product you will be felting). Discounts:
3-Day felting class - Cobweb clothing
Throughout three meetings, we will systematically and without haste gain the knowledge of felting clothes in the 'cobweb' technique. All without cutting, sewing and without wasted fibers. First, everyone will make their own pattern, shrink it, and calculate the shrinkage factor. We will then use the existing cut (desired final shape and size) as a basis, which we will increase according to special rules and the calculated shrinkage factor. Finally we will wet-felt the item. If there is some time left, everyone will be able to make another product in the same technique.

Welcome to the Amuse studio in the year 2023! Maybe you're wondering what wet felting is? What is wet felting? How do we make felt in the oldest process of creating textile? What is the history of wet felting - in the world, Slovenia and Skofja Loka? Which types of wool and other fibers can we use for felting? What kind of products can we make in this technique? What are the advantages of using felt, wool and other natural materials? Demonstrations, presentations and short workshops can be prepared for individual visitors, families, companies and school groups, as well as other groups of visitors such as associations, tourist groups, etc. They can last from 30 minutes to approx. 1.5 hours. The first proposed course is to make a simpler piece of clothing in a cobweb technique (e.g. top, tunic). They are intended for an individual participant who wants to learn wet felting, individual felting techniques (or several techniques) or an individual (possibly more demanding) item in depth and adapted to him. In the most picturesque city in Slovenia, we are proud of the thousand-year-old handicraft tradition, which has always gone ‘hand in hand’ with innovations in technology. Every day from Wednesday to Sunday, you can enter the studios of Škofja Loka artisans and attend one of three types of handicraft experiences at uniform prices: 1.5 hour Handicraft workshop; at 11am, 38 euros per person 45 min Creative demonstration; at 5pm; 23 euros per person 20 min Intro visit; at 7pm; for free I will also host all three experiences in the Amuse studio, mostly on Wednesdays. At the handicraft workshop we will make felt soap, at the creative demonstration I will present how to make a cobweb fabric, and during the intro visit we will take a quick walk through the history of the wet felting and get to know contemporary wet felting creations. Something completely new! - We'll be felting online
Wet-felting is the oldest technique of making textile that existed in the world and is very fun and relaxing activity. We will create a beautiful felt item with a special ‘lace’ pattern - all seamless, no sewing. You can use this table top surface in many different ways - to protect and decorate your dinning or coffee table, you can put it on the shelf with potted plants on top. No prior knowledge of wet-felting is required and we will of course learn a few tricks of the trade. We'll reconnect a week later, on Friday, May 8, at 12:00 pm EDT (UTC-4), 18:00 CET, to share creations, learnings, and feedback. Limited to 20 participants. What you'll need

Amuse felt clothing exhibition in Solcava, Slovenia
In this one day workshop, you will create your very own handbag using nothing but water, soap and wool. We will make a special handbag with cut-outs. It will be of a smaller size as we will focus on special effects... We will be learning how to felt a bag from the carded wool without stitching. So your handbag will be totally seamless. We also learn different options on how to finish and accessorize the handbags.
