Autumn workshops and courses in the Amuse studio

You are welcome in Amuse studio this autumn. Finally - multi-day felting clothing course is here (3 days, 3 participants - read more below). Of course, we continue to conduct monthly felting workshops, where you can choose the product you will make.

We will start soon with the 'Wet-felt the product of your choice' workshop

Several dates will be announced, which will be updated according to demand and the situation.

Currently announced dates:

• Saturday, October 2 - Wet-felt the product of your choice
• Saturday, November 6 - Wet-felt the product of your choice ​
• Saturday, November 20 - Wet-felt the product of your choice ​

These workshops run from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Duration and price depends on the choice of product. Small groups will be formed and there will be enough time to create different products.

At this type of workshop, you choose an item that you make in the technique of wet felting (felting) from carded wool with the possibility of adding ramie, silk, viscose, linen, bamboo, hemp and other fibers.

You can make a flat felt surface (scarf, sitting mat, placemat ...) or a 3-d product (bag, slippers, hat ...).

You can learn the basics of wet felting or make a felt soap, brooch, necklace, handbag, slippers, bowl, nuno scarf, mesh scarf, cobweb scarf, pillow cover, book cover, cat den, felt picture, hat , beret or any other felt product.

The groups will be small and despite the fact that everyone in the group may be making something different, we will take enough time to take away a lot of new knowledge and a nice and quality product.

Workshop price: 30 - 100 € depending on the selected project

Duration: 1 - 7 hours

Three-day clothing making course

Finally we will have the long-awaited multi-day courses. We will make the upper part of the garment in a cobweb technique - a top, a tunic or a T-shirt.

Estimated production time: 3 days (eg Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday)
Number of participants: 3 people
Price: 280 eur. The price also includes material.

- 15% discount - if you come with a friend (for two or three people who sign up together - 1 bill)

One course already took place in October - you can now apply for the next one. The exact dates of the meetings will be determined with all 3 registered people. 

Throughout three meetings, we will systematically and without haste gain the knowledge of felting clothes in the 'cobweb' technique. All without cutting, sewing and without wasted fibers. First, everyone will make their own pattern, shrink it, and calculate the shrinkage factor. We will then use the existing cut (desired final shape and size) as a basis, which we will increase according to special rules and the calculated shrinkage factor. Finally we will wet-felt the item. If there is some time left, everyone will be able to make another product in the same technique.

Cobweb felt is considered to be the thinnest, most translucent and softest woolen fabric created with wet felting. We will use the softest merino wool in the sliver, with the possibility of adding silk, linen, viscose, linen, ramie and other fibers. In any colors, effects and patterns you like.

Other possibilities to felt in Amuse studio

Private workshops for closed circle of people
Lately, there is a lot of interest in felting in a 'closed' group - a bubble - when several people (friends, relatives, co-workers, etc.) agree to make a certain product (it can also be different products whose production requires about the same time). If you are interested in this kind of workshop, please contact me and we will arrange an appointment that will suit us all.

This workshop will not be made public - we will not be accepting external participants into the group. Such workshops can be conducted in the Amuse studio or at your location.

Individual workshops
Individual learning of wet felting also continues to be available. It is intended for an individual participant who wants to learn felting, individual felting techniques (or several techniques) or an individual (possibly more demanding) product in depth. The price depends mainly on the duration of the individual workshop, which can be half a day, 1 working day or several days.
